The sacrament of Eucharist remains the source of life of every Christian. Understanding the beginnings of this sacrament, the cultural context in which it originated, as well as discovering the source of the essence of the Last Supper are an ever-present challenge to the believers who wish to receive the grace of the sacrament with an awareness of its significance. In order to explain the relationship between the Last Supper of Jesus and the Jewish Seder meal, the author has conducted an analysis of both events, which, although referring to entirely different circumstances, can nevertheless be discussed in an analogous way due to their origin. The article touches on the following questions: 1. Meal - Passover - Covenant 2. Jewish Seder meal 3. The Seder of Jesus 4. The novelty of the Passover meal.
