The aim of the article is to present the formative nests constituted by the names of European countries by means of the nest description methodology as well as selected aspects of word formation analysis. There have been the results of quantitative, structural and graphic analysis discussed. Furthermore, techniques and derivative indications along with word formation categories of nominal structures have been presented. Finally, attention has been paid to the results of vertical and horizontal structurization of the researched nests, regarding formative paradigms and chains.
