Abstracts
The text shows a new area of andragogical research and reflection. It is concentrated arount the development of an adult and an elderly, connected with the process of education in its many dimensions. Development and education are considered as an imminent and universal elements of the process of human life. Adulthood, development and education are the basic concepts of andragogical auksology. The text shows the classification of the stages of adulthood and andragogical attempts on defining this phenomenon. It characterises development as the dimension of an adults life, indicating its various research context and it explains the wide understanding of the term education through the educational andragogical research paradigm. It marks the correlations between adulthood, development and education. It outlines the context in understanding adulthood in the andragogical perspective, such as: changeability of adulthood, subjective adulthood, the ambivalence of adulthood, adulthood as a task, adulthood as maturity, adulthood as (an educational) value, the universal character of adulthood.
