The research programme concerning mobbing at a workplace, frequency of its occurrence, its causes and consequences was carried out through 11 Master theses which were written at the Department of Finance and Management of the Lazarski School of Commerce and Law. 493 people participating in the programme represented mostly a younger working generation a considerable part of which constituted women, inhabitants of Warsaw and students. A specially designed questionnaire was used to measure variables. The result of the research allowed us specify the frequency of mobbing and its nature in the sample under inspection. The researchers discovered connections between: (1) an experience of mobbing at school and a workplace; (2) the qualities of a victim and a perpetrator of the mobbing; (3) the characteristic of a company; (4) reactions of a victim; (5) ways of coping with oppression; (6) opinions on mobbing and mobbing itself.
