The paper presents instruments stimulating the development of environmental technologies such as: focus research, promotion and dissemination, 'green' public procurement, gathering financial means, environmental technology verification and certification, market and tax instruments, awareness raising and training. Based on survey's results, main obstacles to the development of environmental technologies in Poland are indicated.
