One of the factors determining human hand preference is the socio-cultural attitude to the left-handedness fenomenon. In many societies till recently the social pressure for switching handedness was very frequent practice. There were different reasons as well as the ways of switching. From the perspective of studies on neurobiological basis of hand dominance it is interesting the issue if the forced right-handedness could result in changes of functional organisation of the brain. The literature concerning the neuroplasticity suggests that there is significant influence of sensory-motor stimulation on the functional brain topography. There is a review of the research results concerning the social pressure to right-handedness as well as the issue of neuroplastic changes as the result of sensory-motor stimulation. The article is the attempt of question, if the forced hand dominance is the example of such sensory-motor training and what are its result in the brain organisation of switched individuals.
