This article is devoted to the question of the origins of women in the entourage of Polish queens in the late Middle Ages. Who were they, where did they come from, did they have an education, who were their parents, were they also associated with the royal court? I also try to answer how they got to the queen’s court, whether they stayed there for a long time, whether the queen took care of them, whether she influenced their marriages. Did the courtesans continue to have contact with the queen’s court after they married and did their daughters also become courtesans over time?
