The article deals both with the oikonyms ending in -any, -yany that have originated from people’s names reflecting the character of the locality they settled at (Luzhany, Ozeryany, Stavchany), and the oikonyms formed from anthroponyms (Darabany, Drahomyrchany, Kotyuzhany, Petramany).
