The global culture presents a new type of civilization, multinational society, which reaches over the national, state and historical limits. The local culture forms itself as unique in the communities and subcultures. The music becomes the most important artistic communication form in the new millennium. At the concrete examples we try to point out the insensitive way of using the music in the programs of the television channels in Slovakia in a year 2006. It is especially obvious in relation to devotional music. The meaning of the liturgical music reveals in the aesthetic, social, revival and cultural aspects. Praise and worship, as a type of gospel music, present a kind of local subculture, example of spiritual communion, which is able to compete with global musical culture.
