The paper deals with the current situation of the Siberia 'Polonia' mainly from the perspective of the activities undertaken by the cultural organizations of the Polish community in trems of teaching Polish, traditions and national culture. The paper is the result of a several year long research done in the most active community centers - Abakan and Tomsk. The author describes in details the scope and content of teaching Polish in Tomsk. He discusses the conditions in which teaching takes place and the factors favoring and impeding the process.
