Artykuł podejmuje problematykę operacyjnego zarządzania innowacjami w kontekście planowania procesów innowacji. Bazuje na badaniach w kilkunastu polskich firmach, będących liderami innowacyjności. Głównym celem prac było opracowanie modelu planowania procesów innowacji. Niniejszy artykuł omawia istotę tego modelu, odnosząc się szczegółowo do zagadnienia analizy otoczenia. Jej znaczenie zostało omówione w kontekście zarządzania procesami innowacji, które przebiegają w warunkach niepewności. Zaproponowano zakres i metody analizy otoczenia w odniesieniu do kategorii procesu innowacji oraz specyfiki podejmowanych decyzji planistycznych. Wskazano cel analiz otoczenia w odniesieniu do etapów zaproponowanego modelu planowania procesów innowacji. Ideą jest zapewnienie menedżerowi wymaganych i aktualnych informacji w chwili podejmowania decyzji, uwzględniając przy tym adekwatność nakładów do znaczenia pozyskiwanej wiedzy.

The article covers issues of innovation management in the context of innovation process planning. It is based on research from several polish companies, which are the innovations leaders. The main objective of this research was to develop a model of innovation process planning. This article indicates the essence of this model and pointed the issue of environmental analysis at that context. It was discussed about the importance of achieving information about environment for managers working under uncertainty. It was proposed the scope and methods of environmental scanning for the particular category of the innovation process and for the specifics of decision. The objectives of the key environmental analysis was proposed. It refers to the suggested model of innovation process planning. The idea is to provide the managers current and required information in the decision making process. It is important also to take into account the relevance of the costs to the importance of the acquired knowledge.
