The article explains why there is a need to prepare the managers for the times in which the organizational survival has become more difficult. Due to the changes managers must develop new competences. Business schools should reinforce dialogue with business, and finally adapt new curricula and new teaching methods, which will satisfy the needs of business and students. Mutual cooperation between academia and business, is not only beneficial for both sides, but indispensable for the development of management science and the economy.

W artykule zwrócono uwagę na konieczność przygotowania menedżerów do pracy w czasach, w których coraz trudniejsze jest przetrwanie organizacji. W wyniku zmian konieczne jest kształtowanie nowych kompetencji. Szkoły biznesu, aby podołać nowym wyzwaniom, muszą nawiązać dialog z biznesem i dostosować metody i programy do potrzeb biznesu i studentów. Wzajemna współpraca uczelni i biznesu jest nie tylko korzystna dla obu stron, ale także niezbędna dla rozwoju nauk o zarządzaniu, jak i gospodarki.
