Specificity of the strategy of small family enterprises in Poland - empirical research

Character of the strategies of small family enterprises is determined by the influence of family factors and the limited size and the subject resources. The specificity of the family company causes that in construction and strategy implementation count not only rational principles and willingness for the maximization profits but as well as family interest and her norms and values. The strategic planning has parallel character integrating both family and business goals. A crucial long-term element of the strategy is an inheritance and desire for assuring functioning of the company through generations coming one after another. Methods of strategic analysis encounter difficulties at limited application and strategies have not formalized, incremental and emergent character.
