In the paper the author presents an outline of Wojciech Dembolecki's bizarre ideas, included in his treatise 'Wywód jedynowlasnego panstwa swiata...' (An Argument on the unique-and-own World-state...). This 17th century book can be perceived as a highest 'achievement' of the Polish national megalomania. At the same time, it is, according to the author, a unique phenomenon not only in Polish, but also in the world literature. Dembolecki's theses, as expression of his own peculiar invention, were met with criticism of his contemporaries. This criticism was aimed at megalomaniac excesses in his theses, his abusing of historical testimonies and biblical quotations as well as his odd etymological arguments. Dembolecki's history of philosophy was met, on the contrary, with approval of his contemporaries, not only in Poland.
