The article discusses the concepts of the market as a process of revealing knowledge about the facts of economic and social change. By presenting the Hayek's views of phenomenon of competition the author denies the thesis of 'anarchy of production' in a free market economy. Conclusion of the article consists of the following thesis: Suppression of competition leads to a much worse evil than the possible undesirable consequences of its actions.
