Growing dynamics and unpredictability in the modern economy cause an increase of cultural factor significance in the process of management. The corporate culture of large companies from the Warmia and Mazury Region, as well as their desired model of culture were characterized in the article. The main reasons of intervention in the organizational value system were presented, besides the typology of culture according to the R. Harrison and Ch. Handy model and the criteria of high and low uncertainty tolerance were proposed.
