This article discusses very interesting issues of body expressions in the Maghreb culture, especially as related to feminine outfits. The author shows that all socio-cultural changes influence body transformation, the way of its interpretation, since every type of society creates its own way of understanding body language. Accordingly, a body and its appearance are a natural quality, but also a sign. Such aspects as prohibitions on using the left hand during meals or the role of a beard and a moustache or depilation and covering a woman's body, are connected with morality, religion, education and the cultural variety of the Maghreb people.
