The paper contains selected questions connected with environmental management in communities. Some differences between corporate management and community management are analysed. Efficient management in communities is the key element of environmental management. There are some problems in environmental activity. The most important of them are presented in the paper. All presentation is divided in parts in relative to functions of management: planning, organizing, realizing, controlling and communication.
