This paper examines the chances and changes of conflicts between family and work roles of women in West-European, Post-communist and USA-based on multivariate statistical method. The most significant differences among the various regions are the features of women employment which is reflected in the results as well. Based on the facts both in 1994 and in 2002 women living in Post-communist countries had the biggest chance to face with such role conflicts. In West-European countries women seemed to be more protected from such conflicts due to part-time employment.
