Teschen Silesia is small area which was characterized by different customs, cultures, religions and languages. This article is based on the Polish press in Teschen Silesia and its purpose is present of state authorities against the Polish population, is fighting for the introduction of the Polish language in schools. I showed relationship between Evangelic and Catholic people because religion was very important in social contact. They often lived in neighborhood but their good relationship between believers wasn’t easy to keep because government accepted policy of political affiliation to Austrian nationality. This politics was based on loyalty to ruling Habsburg’s dynasty and German culture. National Austrian politics showed superiority of Ger¬man’s language and culture. It had to be notice that social advance of people depended on accepting that culture by them.
