Многокомпонентные термины в научном дискурсе и в базе славянского языкознания ISYBISLAW (на примере русского и польского языков)
Multi-word terms in scholarly discourse and in the ISYBISLAW database: a case-study of Polish and Russian corresponding terms
Languages of publication
The article focuses on the problem of establishing equivalence between Russian and Polish multi-word terms in the bibliographic database of Slavic linguistics publications ISYBISLAW. The authors analyze the main criteria based on which multi-word terms are selected and verified. The reasons of formal and semantic asymmetry between terminological units in Polish and Russia are examined. Though most multi-word terms could be considered total equivalents in compared languages, many multi-word terms should be classified as partial equivalents as well. The authors support the idea that those terms which don’t have equivalents in related languages but are of great importance to scholarly traditions in particular countries can also be included into the ISYBISLAW database.
