Rosja jest jednym z najważniejszych partnerów handlowych Unii Europejskiej, a postępujące procesy globalizacyjne od wielu lat zacieśniały współpracę gospodarczą i finansową obu partnerów. Kryzys w stosunkach politycznych UE–Rosja rozpoczął się wraz z eskalacją problemów na wchodzie Ukrainy w pierwszej połowie 2014 r. Problemy polityczne odbiły się na stosunkach gospodarczych, które ucierpiały na skutek nałożenia sankcji przez obie strony. W efekcie doszło do zmniejszenia wymiany handlowej Unii z Rosją. Poszczególne kraje, w tym Polska, w różnym stopniu odczuły wpływ sankcji. W artykule podjęta zostanie próba oceny wpływu embarga rosyjskiego na wymianę towarową poszczególnych państw członkowskich Unii Europejskiej.

Russia is one of the most important trading partners of the European Union. Globalization processes for many years tightened economic and financial cooperation of both partners. The crisis in political relations between the EU and Russia began with the escalation of problems in the east of Ukraine in the first half of 2014. Political problems affected the economic relations that have suffered as a result of the imposition of sanctions by both parties. As a result, there has been a reduction in EU trade with Russia. Individual countries, including Poland, to varying degrees were affected by the impact of sanctions. In the article there will be described the impact of the Russian embargo on trade in goods between individual Member States of the European Union and Russia.
