Taking as an example three verses from the 1st chapter of the 4th Book of Esdras in the Cyrillic Manachyn Old Testament Florilegium of 1575 – 1577, the author argues that this version cannot belong to Francis Skorina, as traditionally believed, but is a later Ruthenian translation from the Czech Bible published by Jiří Melantrich in 1556 – 1557 or 1560 – 1561.
