Celem artykułu jest podjęcie próby wyjaśnienia przywództwa strategicznego jako części paradygmatu przywództwa. W artykule została przedstawiona istota przywództwa strategicznego. Wyjaśniono pojęcie przywództwa strategicznego oraz porównano dotychczasowe pojęcia przywództwa z pojęciem przywództwa strategicznego poprzez wskazanie zarówno podobieństwa, jak i różnic w ich pojmowaniu. W artykule zaprezentowana została rola przywódcy strategicznego z wyróżnieniem umiejętności oraz cech niezbędnych do skutecznego zarządzania i ciągłego rozwoju organizacji. Artykuł powstał w oparciu o analizę literatury przedmiotu.

The aim of this article is the attempt to systematize the concept of strategic leadership. In the article has been presented the essence of the strategic leadership paradigm. The concept of strategic leadership has been clarified and the past leadership concepts have been compared to the concept of strategic leadership by indicating both similarity and differences in their perception. The article presents the role of a strategic leader by pointing the skills necessary for effective management and continuous development of the organization. The article was based on an analysis of the literature of the subject.
