Jesuit concept of nature was the first attempt to build a theory of everything, a theory which explains all the phenomena of nature with the help of one law. We should add that the philosophy of the eighteenth century uses the term „Theory of Everything" in a more global context than is the case today. This theory intended to explain not only natural phenomena, but also mental states, and it was expected to be an attempt not only to clarify the basis of the world, but also to solve the mind-body problem.
