The article presents the analysis of Burma as a country of enormous, yet often unexploited, tourist potential. The author describes history, political and social relations, and the culture-creating aspects – Burma’s religion and art. Using his own experience form the trip and information from Polish and English publications, the author presents proposals of tourist routes and interesting cultural events as destinations of the potential visit. The analysis of Burma’s tourist potential wraps up the article.
