Asymmetry present in every upbringing becomes very specific when it comes to religious upbringing where openness of the one being brought up to the supernatural is an added value. Specificity of this educational factor makes it that forming religious attitudes is often nonschematic and lots of elements of educational situation have an impact on its effects. The article tries to find an answer to a question about the possibility of moving the boundary of educational influence towards a child’s side. In spite of the fact that conclusions cannot support the thesis that in the strict sense a little child brings up one’s parents, a different than a traditional look at asymmetry of upbringing in family makes it possible to pay attention to an enormous role a child plays in the life of a family.
