The paper presents decision variables based on results of business tendency surveys and the application of these variables in models which aim to predict condition of the production sector in Poland (section D). Research was based on monthly data from Main Statistical Office and was covering the period from June 1992 till December 2000, and prognoses were madę for each month of 2001.
