A characteristic feature of the emerging system of security in Europe became multilateralism, which in the security sphere is the resultant of many, often contradictory, trends. It is the main method of organizing by the safety, consisting of participation in alliances and cooperation programmes. The article presents the concept of multilateral cooperation of the European Union on its marine areas, stressing the role and tasks of this Organization on selected sea zones.
