The article describes the activity of the paramilitary organization called the “Strzelec” Riflemen’s Association, which was reactivated in Poland in 1989. It has roots in a defensive and educative organization under the same name which was formed before World War I in Galicia. The reactivated association was supposed to have similar important tasks in the domain of national security.
