The article presents processes of migration in the southern regions of Slovakia that took place after the World War II. The author (on the bases of fieldwork) analyses from the ethnological point of view one of the greatest post – war migration that affected Slovaks coming from Hungary and on the other hand, Hungarians that were involuntarily relocated from Slovakia. The author looks through this problem with historical context in mind. The text of this study contains direct testimonies of relocation by inhabitants coming to Slovakia in the years 1946-47.
