In the paper “Remarks on the Place and Role of Freedom in Kant`s Philosophy” the author would like to draw readers’ attention to the concept of freedom in Kant`s philosophy. It is a matter of fact that this is a key concept, because it may help to unite almost the whole field of investigations undertaken by the author of Critique of Practical Reason. The author of the paper starts from the speculative point of view where freedom (ger. Freiheit) is a pure theoretical concept, then moves on to the field of practical philosophy, where freedom understood as autonomy becomes the ground of morality. In such a context the author presents and discusses the important questions of immortality of soul, existence of God, and the problem of evil. The final part of the paper is about the place of freedom in Kant`s political philosophy.
