Abstracts
The introduction into contemporary linguistics (the linguistics of discourse) of such new terms as discourse picture of the world and discourse picture of cortege interaction broadens the possibilities of folk-tale discourse studies and simultaneously enriches the research database on national styles. The author reconstructs discourse pictures out of Belarusian and Ukrainian folk-tales and projects them onto existing models of current civilizational development (those centered around one of four key composing elements: dialogue, conflict, parallel existence, and centrism). The methods of reconstructing discourse pictures of the world and interaction together with the methods of analytical commenting and projecting help to extend research frames from the functional to the dynamic. This is especially important in the research on folk-tale discourse, as it presents prototypical texts in the dynamics of permanent change of content focusing, and thus as truly alive and socially involved.
