The subject of this analysis is to charakterize textual anomaly as a manifestation of the Aesopian language. Anomalies in the text of culture operate on similar principles (contrast) as the Aesopian language: „an Aesopian device involves the contrast of the text of an artistic work – a text, that is, which is already organized stylistically – with a socio-ideological situation” (Losev). Anomalies in the social realist texts indicate a additional meaning hidden from the censors. Earth, Soviet film by Ukrainian director Alexander Dovzhenko, apparently, praises changes in the Soviet Union during the years 1929-1930. On the basis of the presence of anomalies in the text of culture this article reveals a different meaning – the idea of Christian charity.
