The aim of this article is to identify and visualize the production chains in the Slovak economy by the means of average propagation lengths methodology. This methodology allows us to identify the economic distance between industries which measures the number of steps and it takes an exogenous change in one industry to affect the production in another industry. The analysis for an overall economy is based on 6-sector classification. 30-sector classification is used for deeper analysis of production chains in relation to the construction sector.
