THE PROMOTION OF E-LEARNING – THE EXPERIENCES OF CENTRE FOR DISTANCE-LEARNING – OKNO PW

The aim of the article is to present the organizational structure, the model of functioning and the offer of Centre for Distance-Learning OKNO PW. The author describes the promotional activities of this unit, which create its image and prestige. The role of OKNO PW in university’s organizational structure, the conditions of the Centre’s functioning are also described. The author focuses as well on creating organizational culture and its promotion in the environment. What is more, the article discusses the results of an empirical research conducted by the authors, concerning the students opinion on e-learning significance and their evaluation of effectiveness and satisfaction from online classes.
