The study monitors a collection of full-length portrait paintings of William of Rožmberk from the cultural-historical aspect and in connection with a transformation of the Habsburg representative portraits; the Rožmberk prince’s portraits directly responded to the tendency and thus reached the level of leading European princes. The origin of the Rožmberk portrait gallery also receives attention.
