The subject of the author’s considerations is the role of city tours analyzed on the case study of New Orleans tours. This city, attractive for cultural tourists, makes it possible to spend unforgettable moments while sightseeing or attending cultural events. Because of the uniqueness of its specific cultural tradition and due to the original solutions used to organize tourism, the city appears to be an interesting object for analysis. Currently, city tourism develops dynamically in Poland. Comparative analysis of our previous activities in terms of the city tourism organization and the achievements of other cities in this field, e.g. New Orleans, allows us to implement new ideas and products more effectively and efficiently.
