Victor Erofieyev’s views on Russia

Abstracts
This paper presents the views of Victor Erofeyev, a Russian writer and columnist, on his country. The author of this paper makes an attempt to show Erofeyev’s views on the Soviet Union, focusing particularly on the two former leaders of Soviet Union : Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, as well as on selected aspects of contemporary Rusia (politics, capitalism, society) and the mentality of Russian citizens. Erofyeev’s views are determined by his opinion concerning society and politics. The author of this paper shows the relationship between Erofevev’s approach to Russia. And the Westernizers’ movement, a Russian intellectual movement from the 19th century. The author also demonstrates how Erofeyev’s views are part of the Westernizers’ tradition in Russia’s intellectual history.
