The text devoted to Tateusz Świątek presents not only his public activity but his private life as well. Apart from his work relating to theatre (especially as dramaturge at the Słowacki Theatre in Cracow), some light is shed on Świątek’s collaboration with Formists. Since the author of the article is related to Świątek he gives a detailed account of his family history, romantic life and personality. The author makes a particularly interesting attempt at establishing Świątek’s date of death. It seems certain that Świątek died at the turn of 1939 and 1940, as this is the date given by numerous research studies. But credible sources make mention of him as late as in 1944.
