During the excavation on the castle Hrušov a one-piece ceramic pipe was discovered in the Cannon bastion in the year 2013. Based on its analogies it can be assigned to the tobacco pipes of so-called Holland type. The pipe has a stamp in the shape of a grid in round cartouche – factory mark. The habit of smoking and the pipe connected with it get to the Hungarian Kingdom territory in the second half of the 17th century. The pipe from Hrušov castle can be according to its archaeological context and accompanying archaeological material dated to the second half of the 17th century.
