Cross-cultural communication, fast becoming a global research area is touched upon in the paper. Cross-cultural foreign language competence is viewed. International ACCESS project and its role in forming intercultural competence is described. The program specific features, its structure and essence are shown. Special stress is put on the part of multi-media technologies in the program.
