The theory of R. J. Boścović is one of the most outstanding scientific achievements of the 18th century. Unfortunately, due to a convergence of unhappy circumstances, this theory is almost forgotten today. This theory reduced all types of forces to the attractive-repulsive force. Along with this, it also reduced phenomena and laws. Thus, it suggested there is one type of force, one phenomenon, and one universal law of nature: the law of attraction-repulsion force). Boscović had equally interesting views on the concept of substance. According to him, matter is point-like in character. In this respect Boscović was almost 300 years ahead of his time.
