The overview of some analytical and microscopic techniques, which can be used for the characterisation of findings related with glass production, is described. For this purpose the set of findings related directly and indirectly to glass making was studied. Samples come from the oldest glassworks in Krušné hory (at the site Jilmová) and the glass was produced here during the middle ages. Some examples of results, which you can obtain by these methods, are shown.
