Applying technical devices and chemical agents which are generally defined as forensic traps is not a new phenomenon. Forensic literature did not describe this form of combatting crime in detail. Police practice shows that forensic traps are used too rarely. It is better to prevent crime than to punish for it. It means that law enforcement agencies ought to carry out preventive activities as well as evidential ones. It is applying such means which while their operating, either open or secret, discourage a potential perpetrator of a crime form its committing, and simultaneously serve as evidence. Public order services of every country in the world use various methods of forensic tactics, and they apply different means of forensic identification. An effectively working forensic trap can be one of these instruments. Forensic traps are technical devices of different types and chemical agents used in order not to allow a crime to be committed, to prevent an offender from leaving a scene of crime, to follow a suspect and arrest them in a suitable.
