This article considers the role of Poland in reforming the self-government in Ukraine. Itdescribes proposals for reform, as well as barriers which occur or may occur while makingan effort to decentralize power in this country. The author makes an attempt to identifydifferences between the situation in Ukraine and Poland during the process of reformationof the self-government.
