The phenomena of aggression and violence arecommonplace in the modern worldt o such an extent that they are becoming a natural element of the social order for manypeople. When a case of a child being hurt is revealed, it often leads to a crisis for their parents or caretakers. The aim of the articleis to draw attention to the situation of parents or caretakers supporting a hurt child in a situation when the damage is revealed, as well as to familiarise the reader with selected tools developed within the Solution-Oriented Approach which prove useful in the therapy process. The objective of therapeutic help within the Solution-Oriented Approach is to support the customers in their attempts to create a reality where they can fulfil their needs in a way which is safe and acceptable for them. The actions taken by the therapist and the customer focus on identifying the needs, goals, and resources of the latter.
