The aim of the article is to answer the question of whether models differ in terms of life plansand self-esteem from the group of same-age girls who are not working in the modeling industry. The motivation to take up this topic was both the small amount of research done inthis area and the stereotypes about the fashion modelling profession. The study used B.R Little’sPersonal Project Analysis (PPA) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). The criteriagroup consisted of twenty five models and the control group comprised of twenty sevengirls of a similar age and stage of education. The results obtained indicate that the models donot differ from the control group in terms of formal characteristics of plans and self-esteem.The differences relate to the assessment of individual dimensions of plans.
