In the paper, Subject and Identity in the Philosophy of Paul Ricoeur, the author attemptsto draw readers attention to two important elements of the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur,i.e. subjectivity and identity. It is a matter of recognised fact that the French philosopherdeveloped a very interesting argumentation within these fields, which is why the authortries to follow Ricoeur’s position, on the one hand, showing evolution from the subject tothe concept of person, and on the other hand, from the concept of human identity to narrativeidentity. It appears to the author that the two concepts play a crucial role in Ricoeur’sphilosophical anthropology.
