The świętokrzyski region due to its location in the centre of Europe, rich cultural heritage and varied tourist attractions has a great potential for business tourism develop - ment. The świętokrzyski region, together with its capital city Kielce, has become a signifi - cant business tourism centre. The Kielce Fair is one of the most important business meeting places in Poland and oc - cupies the second position on the fair-display market in Poland. It is also the third biggest fair centre in Central Europe with respect to the number of exhibitors and exhibition area. The paper also discusses the infrastructure of business tourism in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. A very important part of the paper is also a presentation of the fair-display events that took place in the period of 2009–2011 on the Kielce Fair (Targi Kielce S.A.)
